Analytical Dashboards
The transformation of the healthcare system is happening alongside digital transformation and is impossible without theElectronic Healthcare System (EHS). For a long time, healthcare information in Ukraine was fragmented and often stored on paper. For the first time, real data on the state of the healthcare sector became available in Ukraine with the creation of the EHS. This system ensures transparency and openness of data, enabling the government and specialized state institutions to make informed decisions regarding the development of healthcare programs.
Open data published by theNational Health Service of Ukraine (NHSU)helps monitor the flow of funds in the healthcare sector and serves as an example of anti-corruption tools. It allows the public to follow the implementation of healthcare reform. With the introduction of the EHS, data has become a tool that works in the interests of patients.
NHSU not only publishes open data but also createsanalytical dashboards, visualizing information in a user-friendly format. NHSU is among the first state institutions in Ukraine to present data in a clear and accessible way for users.
Currently, theNHSU websitefeatures over30 dashboards. Using these dashboards, you can find out:
- Which services under theMedical Guarantees Program (MGP)are provided by any healthcare facility that has a contract with NHSU
- Where you can sign a declaration and with which doctor
- The location of the nearest pharmacy offering“Affordable Medicines”
- How much money a healthcare facility has received from NHSU and for which services
De-identified electronic datafrom NHSU partner healthcare facilities is presented in three formats:
- Analytical dashboards, which allow users to search for information using various filters, as well as copy and print the necessary data
- Quarterly and annual reports
- Open data, available for download and machine processing from theUnified State Open Data Web Portal
In addition, inAugust 2022, the National Health Service of Ukraine created a new analytical tool – a report consolidating key information on specific indicators of the implementation of the Medical Guarantees Program, broken down by region. This tool is designed for local governments, communities, hospital owners, and health departments. It includes separate reports for each oblast and contains multiple sections for individual indicators, making data accessible for further use and informed decision-making.
